Overview
The Project Engineer is responsible for the planning, control, and integration of engineering activities and the development of project deliverables to insure the success of their project. The individual designs power, lighting, and fire alarm systems for commercial, institutional and industrial facilities within a consulting engineering firm.  The Project Engineer utilizes his or her creativity, foresight, and mature engineering judgment to anticipate and solve engineering problems, determine program objectives and requirements, and develop standards and guides for diverse engineering activities.  The Project Engineer works closely with engineers and/or designers and delegates design responsibility and drawing production to them. The Project Engineer communicates with other disciplines to achieve a coordinated design. General Responsibilities

  • Gains a full understanding of the project objective, scope, deliverables, budget implications, and other factors that impact design activities.
  • Establishes design criteria for specific projects.
  • Takes responsible lead in the design and detailing of engineering systems. 
  • Manages the development of construction/equipment installation documents and project deliverables.
  • Performs analysis and design calculations or designates design and drawing activities to other project members.
  • Reviews and evaluates computer program and manual calculations for technical accuracy and compliance with established design criteria.
  • Coordinates with the project team and all design disciplines during the course of the project.
  • Performs field surveys and prepares associated reports.
  • Assists in preparing estimates of probable costs (i.e., for construction, equipment installation, etc.) at various stages of design.
  • Participates in preparation of project specifications.
  • Performs periodic design reviews; ensures designs follow specifications, codes and   regulations, and contract requirements.  Ensures technical and quality standards are maintained.
  • Reviews shop drawings for compliance with contract requirements and documents.

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with emphasis in Electrical Engineering
  • Registered Professional Engineer (preferred)
  • 7-10 years of successful project experience within a consulting engineering firm
  • Working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, Word, Excel, Outlook and discipline specific software packages such as SKM Power Analysis and AGI-32 Lighting Analysis
  • Expertise in engineering systems and related design principles
  • Awareness of other disciplines and the interrelationship of the various elements of design
  • Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code and general building codes is a must
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • LEED Accreditation preferred

Job Summary:

Position Overview:

  • Taking a Bill of Material for a construction project and creating a complete and professional gear quotation using computer software.

Qualifications:

We are looking for a talented and tenacious Account Manager that thrives in a rapid Inside Sales environment to join Omni Cable’s Sales Team. The Account Manager will sell our full range of specialty wire and cable, including related wire and cable products. Summary:

We are looking for an outgoing and self-assured Account Associate to support the growth and development of OmniCable. The successful candidate will have multiple Account Manager support responsibilities and develop a functional understanding of the Account Manager role. Summary:
The Product Sales Representative plays a crucial role at supporting our purpose to create lasting value for those we serve by establishing and growing customer relationships and being the liaison between the customer and Account Manager. The individual will visit customer and crib locations as needed to promote and initiate product sales and solve customer problems. This individual will utilize manufacturer representatives to make joint sales calls throughout the year to promote products and provide training.  The Product Sales Representative will expand their knowledge by interacting with the manufacturer representatives and attend product training seminars. This individual will be required to take and monitor inventory of the customer crib stock and could include occasional delivery.  The Product Sales Representative is seen as a champion for the company culture, our 5 P’s and our purpose to create lasting value for those we serve.
